Explosives recovered from entrance of gold mine in Raichur
Eyewitnesses stated that riders travelling on a Pulsar bike may have dropped the explosive cartridges while passing through the area.

More
than 15 explosive cartridges were found near the entrance of Hutti Gold Mines
Limited in Lingasugur taluk in Raichur district.
The
incident has created panic among residents and workers.
It
is not yet known to whom the explosives belonged. Security personnel and senior
officials of the Hutti Gold Mines were alerted.
Police
officials from the Hutti Police Station rushed to the spot and conducted an
inspection.
The
police have launched an investigation into the incident. They are trying to
determine whether the explosives were meant for gold mining operations at Hatti
or for use in private stone quarries.
“We
are trying to trace the people who transported the explosives to the entrance
of the gold mines and from where they were brought,” a police official told Salar
News.

Concerns have also been raised about
the transportation of such dangerous explosives in the absence of any preventive
measures.
